Who Is Tim Rudd And Why Should You Listen To Him?
|
I have been in love with fitness since I can remember. The first time I worked out with my older brother I knew fitness would be in my life forever.
As a child and young adult I was active in wrestling and collegiate football. Once my football days were over, intense training became a part of my daily routine. After years of dedication and passion surrounding fitness I decided to become a personal fitness trainer and follow my dreams.
I received my certification from International Sports Sciences Association and National Academy of sports Medicine. I continue to pursue further specializations. I am also working towards my Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology & Nutrition.
Currently I am an independent contractor, training at Mavericks in Concord and also provide online training services.
I believe that fitness is the key to the universe. The formula for success is in the individuals desire to feel good, look good and be HEALTHY. What more can one ask for than to wake up in the morning and feel energetic, inspired and beaming with life.

Training Philosophy
I believe the genesis of force production is the core, not the legs or the ground. The ground is no more the
origin of strength than a wall is the origin of the energy a bouncing ball carries. The extremities are not it either
because the body will not initiate any movement at the extremities without first stabilizing the spine via the core
muscles"
- Juan Carlos Santana, MEd, CSCS "Functional Training: Breaking the Bonds of Traditionalism"
In all cases the core musculature moves first in healthy people. In other words, people who have no lower
back pain. Without question this statement alone proves how important having a strong and healthy core is.
What is your core you ask? The core consists of your abdominals and your lower back. The abdominals are
more than just a symbol of fitness, they are key to the strength and stability of your body. The abdomen,
Latin for “middle”, is the core of your body’s universe. It creates the force for your body’s extremities. Your
core is the first to respond to everyday movements such as pushing and pulling with your upper torso,
stabilizing the spine. This is important because this type of stress takes place when you push a door closed,
pull a door open, bend down to pick something up, and turn around to reach something behind you. Do these
movements sound familiar to you? They should because they are a part of everyday human movement.
These are the 4 Pillars of Human Movement.
"Level Changes" i.e. bending down to pick up your keys
"Pushing" i.e. pushing a grocery cart
"Pulling" i.e. picking up your child
"Rotation" i.e. reaching for something in the backseat of your car
How you move in your everyday life should be a reflection of how you train in the gym. Therefore these 4
Pillars should be integrated into everyone's fitness program. Now understand that training movements is
functional training. The core is what is responsible for generating the force for these movements so therefore
it's important to train from the inside out, using body weight before external resistance. This means that you
progress from simple to more complex movements with external resistance. Not only will you benefit from
having a strong core, but this type of exercise will also demand your body to burn maximum calories, which
equals fat loss, increased muscle tone, and smaller waist lines, bigger arms etc....whatever your goals may be.
One thing is for sure, life will be much easier because there is one important thing I forgot to mention, injury
prevention! This type of training prepares you for the type of stresses that your body is put through in
everyday life. What more can you ask for!
My services are not just about lifting weights to achieve your goals. Nutrition is key not only to a total body transformation but to a whole new lifestyle. I will help you understand the fundamentals of nutrition and how it can help you with your training program.
